Scopul principal al benzii de rulare este sa transmita fortele dintre restul anvelopei si sol.<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: small; color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff;\"><strong>Flancul anvelopei<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\"> = este un invelis protector din cauciuc la exteriorul anvelopei. Aceasta se intinde de la un talon la altul, perpendicular pe directia de miscare, de aici termenul &#8220;radial&#8221;. Ranforsarea este componenta principala care mentine presiunea care la randul ei suporta greutatea vehiculului. De asemenea, ea transmite cuplul si fortele de torsiune intre banda de rulare, breakere, talon si janta.<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: small; background-color: #ffffff;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Breakere<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\"> = Breakerele sunt straturi de sarma de otel (uneori si nylon) aflate intre banda de rulare si carcasa anvelopei. Anvelopele off-road pot avea si 5 straturi de breakere in timp ce anvelopele de strada au de obicei unul sau doua. Sarmele din otel din constructia lor se intind diagonal pe directia de invartire. Breakerele cresc rigiditatea benzii de rulare ceea ce sa traduce intr-o mai mare rezistenta la taiere si deformare.
